Establishment of Nature Interpretation Centre at Kovai Koutralam, Boulampatti Reserved Forest, Coimbatore:

This project is aimed at providing a glimpse of Western Ghats (especially, the area in and around Kovai Koutralam, Boulampatti Reserved Forest in Coimbatore), its bio-diversity, human-animal conflict, and other issues.
Funded by Department of Forests, Government of Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore.

Establishment of new Common Effluen Treatment Plants in Tirupur to achieve zero discharge:

Proposed Treatment Capacity: 4.6 MLD
Adopted technology: UV-Ozonation with ultrafiltraion for primary treatment, reverse osmosis for secondary treatment and Multiple Effect Evaporator with Thermal Vapour Recompressor (TVR) for tertiary treatment.
Supplier of UV-Ozonator, U.F. and R.O: M/s.Canadian Crystalline Waters (India) Ltd., Chennai, India.
Supplier of Evaporator: SSP (India) Ltd., Faridabad.
Total project cost: Rs.37.24 crores.
Project status:
Consent to Establish the CETP was already issued by Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB).
Detailed Project Reort was approved by Anna University, Chennai on 17 February 2007.
Environmental Impact Assessment Report presented to Ministry of Environment & Forests on 22 January 2008. Pending final approval.

Supplier of Evaporator: M/s.Windsor Sathyam Engineering Co., Chennai, India.
Supplier of indigenous components & EPC contractor: M/s.Hydroair Tectonics (PCD) Ltd., Mumbai.
Total project cost: Rs.14.15 crores.
Project status:
Consent to Establish the CETP was already issued by Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB).
Detailed Project Reort was approved by Anna University, Chennai on 16 July 2007.
Achieved financial closure. Funded by Syndicate Bank, Tirupur.
Environmental Impact Assessment Report presented to Ministry of Environment & Forests on 22 January 2008. Pending final approval.
