Rural development:

Awareness and training program to farmers, planters and horticulturists on bio-pesticides, organic fertilizers, bio-gas plants, bio-diesel, medicinal plants, essential oils, etc.
Promotion of urban and rural cottage industrial units through technical support and training program for Women Self Help Groups.

Awareness program on water-borne infectious diseases and training on procedures of getting safe drinking water.
Erection of community water purifiers for safe drinking water.

Establishment of solar water heaters and solar power generators to reduce dependency on oil and forest wood for domestic use by rural households.
Setting up of community solar panels for remote villages and in hill areas to provide electricity.

Nutrition education, training program on preparing balanced food for children and adults, and development of educational/training materials.
Development of food processing industries involving Women Self Help Groups.

Establishment of rural community internet centers for providing communication facilities for promotion of  knowledge base for future rural development.

De-siltation and strengthening of tanks and ponds for efficient storage of rain water.

Investigating groundwater potential for planning relevant crop in rural areas and prevention of farm water wastage.

Watershed modeling using GIS, and construction of check dams in hilly terrains for efficient recharge of ground water.

Natural resource assessment and management:

Creation of digital database on land-use to  identify land-use change patterns.

Providing awareness on maternity and child health issues to rural and urban women.

Conducting training programs for the self-help groups in the fields of horticulture, organic manure production, mushroom cultivation, and certified seed production and other related agricultural practices.

Establishing a public environmental library for the use of students, researchers, government officials, NGOs, members of the civic bodies and the public.

Publishing and selling newsletters, periodicals, greetings, etc. on environmental ethics and related issues.
